 OLIVIA 
 CARRELL

Olivia Carrell is a lyric soprano from Hertfordshire, now based in London. Her recent engagements include the role of Tamiri in Mozart's Il Re Pastore (Buxton Opera Festival), Iris (cover) in Handel's Semele (Opéra de Lille), Spirit (cover) The Indian Queen (Le Concert D'Astree), Sybil Seligman -The Butterfly House (Clonter Opera). In 2025, she is rejoining Emmanuel Haïm's company Le Concert D'Astreé in Paris 2025 in their production of Semele at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées directed by Oliver Mears. 

 

Her past roles include Blanche de la Force - Poulenc's Dialogue des Carmelites, Helena - Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Maria Bertram - Dove's Mansfield Park, First Witch - Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, Second Donna -Donezetti's Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali and  Rutilia - Cavalli's L'Egisto.

She recently reached the semi-final of the 2024 International Handel Competition. Olivia is a member of the Philharmonia chorus.
